Ethereum Core Developer Departs, Criticizes Foundation Leadership

Eric Conner, a CORE developer of Ethereum, has announced his departure from the Ethereum Foundation, criticizing its leadership as 'leftist driven, anti-winning swamp.' Conner expressed his concerns on the social media platform X, stating his hope for Ethereum's success despite his departure. This announcement follows Vitalik Buterin's recent acknowledgment of the need for significant changes in leadership. Justin Sun Proposes Changes to Ethereum Foundation's Operations

Justin Sun, the founder of TRON, has proposed several changes to the Ethereum Foundation's (EF) operations in a post on X. He suggests halting the EF's ETH sales for at least three years to preserve supply and maintain market confidence. Sun's vision for Ethereum includes addressing these concerns and enhancing the network's competitiveness.

Vitalik Buterin Defends Ethereum Foundation Leadership Amid Criticism

Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has firmly asserted his control over the Ethereum Foundation, rejecting any suggestions for a leadership change. In a January 21 post on X, Buterin affirmed that he retained control over decisions regarding the Ethereum Foundation until upcoming reforms introduce a formal board. He also criticized some in the crypto community for being 'actively toxic to top talent' and strongly condemned the harassment directed at Aya Miyaguchi, the Ethereum Foundation’s current executive director.

Justin Sun Shares 4 Ideas for Ethereum Revival Amid Vitalik Buterin’s Leadership Reform Talks

In a series of posts on X (formerly Twitter), Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin outlined the reforms’ goals and progress. He highlighted improvements in technical expertise, ecosystem engagement, and operational efficiency. Justin Sun, the TRON executive, shared ambitious remarks on how he would lead the Ethereum Foundation if given the opportunity. Sun’s vision, shared on X, outlined a four-point plan to radically restructure EF operations, optimize Ethereum’s economic model, and drive the price of ETH to $10,000. Sun proposed an immediate halt to ETH sales for three years to stabilize supply and boost market confidence. He suggested covering EF’s operational costs through other means to achieve this goal.
